Bob Goldstein says that messages to him often do not contain the
author's e-mail address, which he would like to initiate a private
note on a subject.
Bob, I suppose it varies from system to system, but EVERY note I
get from clarinet has a 10-or-so line header, one line of which
is the FROM line. Always, and on that line, is the name and
e-mail address of the sender, no matter where else s/he may or
may not have included it.
Others, such as myself, have a tag ending to their letters with an
e-mail address on it, but if what I suspect is the case (i.e.,
everyone gets a header in front of the message), it really is not
necessary.
