OK, here's the deal. The South Bay Clarinet Societty is presenting
an evening of Clarinet Choir Music on Sunday, April 9th, at 8 PM
in the San Jose State University Concert Hall in San Jose, CA.
Parking is at the Seventh Street Garage for $2.00. Admission is
free for Society menbers, $5.00 for non-members. Repetoire
includes Rossini's Overture to the Barber of Seville, Weber's
Concertino with soloist Mark Branedenburg, Bach's Brandenburg
Concerto No. 3 and Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring, Musorsky's
Pictures at an Exhibition, Joplin's Crysanthemum, and a George
M. Cohan medley. Dr. Jane Averit, Associate Professor of Clarinet
at San Jose State Univesity, will conduct. Dr. Robert Portillo
of the Center for Beethoven Studies at San Jose State, will be a guest
conductor.

I don't know much about Mark Brandenburg, but I can honestly say
he is just about the best clarinet player I have ever heard.
He seems to like my BBb contra also.

Should be fun; we have a forty person choir this time.
