I have a couple of recordings that I really enjoy all of them are in rather
different styles. Probably my favorite is on the Clarinet Classics label
and it is called "The Clarinet: Historical Recordings Volume 2." It
includes old recordings of a lot of the greats including Thurston, Kell,
Cahuzac, Perier, and Draper, to name a few. The audio quality isn't
wonderful, but the playing is very interesting.

I also have several of Giora Feidman's CD's. Most are imports from Israel,
but one is on the Delos label. It has him playing klezmer in a small group
on both clarinet and bass clarinet.

The last one that I really like is a new recording by Paul Meyer of
unaccompanied clarinet music that was written in the 20th century. It
included works by Stravinsky, Boulez, Jovliet (sp?), Berio, and Messiaen.
The performances on that CD are, in my oppinion, quite good.
