Subj: Buffet vs. Yamaha

I need some advise on Buffet and Yamaha Clarinets. Personally I'm partial to
Buffet, I play an R13, but I would like to be open minded when it comes to
recommending one to a young student. There is a considerable price difference
and I just am not that familiar with the Yamaha's to rule them out. I have
noticed that Yamaha's are easier to find in local music stores, any
particular reason?
