What a sad state of affairs when a highly musical moment can be reduced to
something as non-descript as "louder" or "softer!" What Andre Previn was
probably thinking at that moment was, "Is it worth spending thousands of
dollars per minute of rehearsal time to banter with this imbacile!" His
answer was obviously. "No."
