My favorite clarinet trio is the Sonate for three clarinets by Marcel
Mihalovici, Op.35. It is for e-flat, A clarinet, and bass clarinet. It
is a great piece and really sets the standard for original clarinet trios.
The first time I heard it, it was performed by John Yeh,
Larry Combs, and Lawrie Bloom. I've loved it ever since. I just
performed it in our chamber series and it brought down the house.

If you are into the more modern stuff. We performed the new trio by
Philippe Fenelon. It is for e-flat, b-flat, and bass. Its not as
rewarding as the Mihalovici, but it is still fun. (if you like modern stuff)

While we are talking about trios, does anyone know of some good cl. quartets?
