Dear members of the clarinetist's forum,

I believe that a quote from Lewis Carroll is in order:

"The time has come, the walrus said, to speak of many things, of sailing
ships and sealing wax and whether pigs have wings..."

What I'm really referring to is the immense quantity of redundant and
misdirected messages being sent via this medium. On compuserve, I would have
exhausted my 90 messages allotment in about 4 days. Bunches of messages are
being sent which add nothing new to a discussion, or, should have been
directed to one individual. To wit, the plethora of messages re: the stately
Polacca....

Is it REALLY necessary to reiterate & reiterate the same (or similar)
comments ad nauseum????

Are 4 and 5 postings from the same person on the same day or, in some cases,
on several days REALLY necessary????

Does EVERYBODY have to confess to the populace-at large about using
shoestring
ligatures as though it were a deadly sin???

Those of you on the internet at college may have unlimited connect times...
but to spend 10 minutes a day or even twice a day downloading redundant
messages with "the meter running" has REALLY gotten old!

In no way do I mean to demean any one.

I REALLY enjoy the forum.

Let's respect each other's monthly homage to the "Billing Gods" at AOL,
Compuserve, and the like by using a bit of restraint.

I hope you all will take this comment as it is intended: That is, not to
stifle the open nature of this forum but rather to realize the burden of
responsibility that it imposes on all of the members!

Thanks!

Yes, comments are welcome!
