After reading Pino's book, I became a shoestring convert myself. I tried
talking about it here on KLARINET, but sobody seemed to understand me!
*sniff!* Now I'm glad SOMEBODY does! I think it works far better than the
standard ligature in every way: freer tone, better response and
articulation. But I'd be curious about Pino's opinion on ligatures
developed since he wrote his book in 1980.
