A very clear, nicely phrased article Clark.! I still play several Frank
Kaspar mouthpieces and have many friends in major musical organizations who
do also still with excelent intonation , projection, and tonal quality.
However , I have a great respect for your fine mouthpiece craftsmanship, and
feel as you do, that there are many fine modern mouthpieces being made for
most clarinet players needs. I wonder if you might comment on the hard rubber
blanks available to these earlier makers, and if you feel modern blanks are
