A few months ago upon reading David Pinos The Clarinet and Clarinet Playing
I decided to try using a shoestring. I took a wide ribbon standard 27 inch
long string and wrapped it around my mouthpiece about 6 times. I've used it
ever since. Many folks simply think I'm a poor guy who can't afford a shiny
silver ligature, but those of you who have found the glory of the
shoestring know there is nothing better.
I know many of you don't like fooling around with these things and when you
find something good you like to stick with it... This is definately good.
Does anyone have any opposition to this. I'd like to hear opinions.
