Thanx to Chris Vaughn for the advice on crystal mouthpieces and getting a
darker sound.

He mentioned that you don't have to go into the realm of crystal to get a
darker tone. This raises another question. Which of the mouthpieces out
there--crystal, hard rubber, metal, et.al.--give the darkest tones?

I'm playing a B45DOT, and the only other mouthpiece I've tried is the
Buffet that came with my clarinet. I won't include the George Bundy I
started on. I stopped my exploration after the B45, because I was very
happy with this mouthpiece.

Any suggestions?
