In the article about Stadler and his touring in the latest edition of
*The Clarinet,* the author mentions the Sussmayr concerto (pg 24, bottom of
third column). She claims that programs still survive that contain this
concerto. This contradicts my current knowledge of the concerto because in
order to perform it, it must be complete. All that I do know was learned
from the liner notes of a CD by none other than Dieter Klocker. In these notes,
he claims the concerto was never finished; the manuscipt for which breaks off
after the first movement's development. Klocker had a recap prepared so he
could record the concerto movement. Has the information on this concerto
been recently updated?
