Nancy,

In a recent posting on Eb clarinets, I mentioned that my first Eb
mouthpiece was a Kasper (the mouthpiece markings didn't indicate who in
the Kasper family made it). My experience with that mouthpiece was that
its intonation and upper register were secure, but that it produced a
strident, piercing sound, which was the main reason I shelved it and now
play another mouthpiece.
