As other people reported, some time ago I too experimented with a cast
tooth guard made by my dentist to an impression of my teeth. I also tried
florist's paper and the plastic stuff sold by Bay, both of which were OK.

What surprises me is that the material I settled on and use to
this day with satisfactory results has not been mentioned (or did I miss
it?) among the many aids reported on in the numerous postings on this
subject. I refer to the LeBlanc Lip Savers, which are sold in precut
peelable sections of selectable thicknesses. Surely there must be others
on the list who appreciate this simple, yet effective, product.
