You should check out a book called "Classical Studies for Clarinet" edited
and transcribed by Himie Voxman. It has the Bach Cello Suite #4 complete
along with some of the other suites. It also includes some unaccompanied
violin sonatas by Bach and Handel. Could save your boyfriend some time and
trouble. And you're right, they are a lot of fun, but I suggest you rig up
an oxygen tank or learn how to circular breath so you can make those long
phrases. (Cellists can breath while they play.)
