Lynn-

Just curious, any reason you or your orch has a bias against the resin bass
clarinet? Do you need an extended range instrument (to low C) for orchestra
literature? What kind of experiences have you had with the "resin monsters"?

10 yrs ago, I had a resin Bundy, with a good mouthpiece and ligature setup,
(plus I had a repairman I could trust!!), and was doing quite well. Since I
was doing a bit of extended range bass playing, I bit the bullet and bought
my wooden baby. (gave the resin one to the youth orch I used to play in.)
My second bass will probably be a resin one for outdoor and non-extended
range stuff.
