...And while I'm thinking of it...

I've never seen any military bands, when advertising their
clarinet openings, solicit auditions for bass clarinet openings. I've
only seen openings for "clarinet" advertised. Do the bass cl. players in
military bands really hang around that long =) or should I respond to
the "clarinet" openings as a bass clarinetist? I've been thinking about
auditioning for military bands, but never see bass openings advertised...
