Well, I don't fold my lip over my teeth. I only start having to do that
after about two to three hours of playing. It's something my sax teacher
at University of Miami (Gary Keller) suggested, and it works for me
on clarinet fairly well. Of course, I need a tighter embouchure, and I
have to do other adjustments, but I don't really need protection for
my lip unless I play a long time.
