Shakespeare probably wasn't talking about an instrument such as we
would recognise today as an oboe. Even the baroque era oboe looked
vastly different to today's instruments, although we would recognise
it (even if not seeing it in the hands of someone advertised as an
oboe virtuoso, as I did).
