I guess I can tell you an "adventure"--I've played the E-fer once my
sophomore year in high school on Gunther Schuller's _Eine Kleine
Posaunenmusik_, but the part wasn't extremely significant, and I didn't
really gain much experience from playing it. However, my next encounter
with the Eb was my senior year in high school--playing Hindsley's
transcription of _Till Eulenspiegel_. Quite an adventure, I must say.
I played on a Vandoren 3 Eb reed, a titch softer than the V12 4s that I
play on my Bb.

I was fairly successful with the part--however, the recording that my
director chose to use on our CD was the *one* time I "recomposed" a note
of the third E-fer solo in the "trial and execution" segment of _Till_.
I must have overblown the fourth note, since it came out as a G concert
instead of C. Oops :(.
