Dan Leeson was describing a change in the way his mouthpiece behaved.
It brought to mind the fact that I was recently finding some ranges
out of tune and basically the whole sound of the mouthpiece being
different from what I remember. This is with a standard Selmer C85, and
I'm not entirely sure if it is actually the mouthpiece changing or if I
just hadn't noticed this as much as before, but after hearing this story
I think I'll check the non-flat table possibility out.
