I'm interested in this idea that breating might be more difficult in the
morning. One of the advantages I have found in practicing in the morning is
that my concentration is much better, and I have a fresher perspective on
what I am working on. I really enjoy playing late at night, but just don't
get as much done. I find that I really need to warm up carefully in the
morning (I begin the day practicing long tones) in order to produce a decent
sound. I have never noticed any problem with my breathing in the a.m. Maybe
this is due to my careful warm up (?).

I am sure that eating breakfast improves your overall energy and productivity,
but I'm not convinced that it has anything to do with breathing. Certain foods
being better for breathing? Maybe the ones that smell good...
