I have the Boston Recordings CD, the one with Peter Serkin. And I just
wondered if you felt that the tone and energy in Wright's playing was
superior in the the earlier recording. Compared to recordings I've
heard of Wright's at my teacher's I was a little disappointed with this one.

I recently had a bunch of non-clarinetist musicians at my house and I
played the STotzman/Goode back to back against the Shifrin CD. No qestion
as to how those non-clarinetist's ears voted. How about a Goode/Shifrin
recording? Sounds like my ultimate vote.
