Henrik played on a Yamaha instrument with a German bore but a French
fingering system and like it very much. He asked if any other makers
produce such items.

Henrik, it has been a while since I had correspondence with Wurlitzer
in Germany, but at the time they offered to make a basset horn for me
in just such a mechanism; i.e., German bore and French fingering. I
would have bought one but for the mouthpiece issue. I wanted a
soprano clarinet mouthpiece and the German bore and bocal mandated
an alto clarinet mouthpiece. So I did not buy it.

But if they would do that for a basset horn, I have no doubt that
they would also do that for a soprano clarinet, too.
