Dear friends,
A few months ago, I went into my lesson my teacher handed me a
clarinet and told me to give it a try. I looked at it, played it, and said
"I like your new R13." He said it wasn't an R13, nor was it even wood! It
sounded, felt, and looked like an R13. I had to look very closely to see
that there was no grain. It looks kind of like a new R13 when that
black/purple stuff hasn't rubbed off yet. Mr. Wong was given this instrument
by Buffet and I think it may have been a pre-production model. I've never
gone to test out a bunch to see if they compare to the one I played. They're
worth a try, if you want an alternative to the green Vito! Just kidding.
