The numbers are supposed to correspond to those of the B46 but
they don't. Leblanc told me that the B46 was supposed to replace
the 3V when Vandoren dropped it from their line 15 or 20 years ago.
I do have the numbers but they are at home and I am at the office
so they are not handy. I have found that the B45 measures very close
to my 3V except for the baffle near the tip which is closer (translate
that thicker) than my 3V. I have been experimenting with a B45 by
removing material from this area without changing the tip or the
curve. I'm getting there but not quite there yet. Let me know
what you find out.
