My wife plays French horn, and hornists have a similar debate going. She
absolutely detests French horn with vibrato, even when I think it is
well done. She refuses to even try to do it. I think one reason
there is so much resistance in the French horn community is that all
they need is another thing to cause them to miss or lose notes!
