I would recommend staying away from the Dumont clarinet. From a mechanical
standpoint the instrument is inferior , very frustrating to work on and not
worth major repair. Acoustically they are not memorable either. Your money
would be much better spent on a Vito 7212 or Vito V40. Plus the resale vale
will hold much better and they will be easier to sell when you decide to
trade up.

This opinion comes from 30 years experience selling and repairing clarinets.
