Actually, I originally heard that quote in regards to trombone players.

I have a copy of a short article by Don Lewis of the Milwaukee Journal which
list that quote as well as many others about all the members of the orchestra.
Mercifully, the clarinet was spared. It is especially nasty to percussionists
i.e. what did the timpanist get on heis I.Q. test?....Drool.
