I recently purchased Ben Armato's "Reed Wizard," and I am very impressed with
the results so far. As we all know, reeds are a complete headache, but this
machine seems to make commercial reeds more stable and playable. I play on
Vandoren V.12's, and the "Reed Wizard" has helped my reeds play much better
and definitely more consistent. The machine does not make bad reeds good,
but rather good reeds better. Experimenting around with the placement of the
reed on the base may be necessary; however, once the appropriate position is
found, the results are fantastic! I am extremely curious of the opinions and
experiences of other "clarinerds" out there with this machine.
