They were still making small G-clarinets as of a few years ago.

G-clarinets were also made for the Viennese Schrammelmusik performers,
where it was affectionately termed "picksusse Holzl." [Sorry--German
umlauts/etc are not available on this terminal]. The distinquished
contemporary Viennese clarinetist Kurt Schmidt has done much to
popularize Schrammelmusik and the little G-clarinet through his many
tours and recordings. In fact, he wrote his Diplomarbeit (more or less
equivalent to a Master's thesis) on the use of this clarinet in
Viennese popular music around the turn of the last century.
