Among the works which I have performed are "Perimeters" for clarinet and piano,
by George Walker, written I believe in the early '70's. If my memory serves
me, this is a fairly accessible atonal work of moderate difficulty.

Another fine work is "Echoes" for clarinet and electronic tape by Ollie
Wilson. I'm not absolutely certain whether Mr. Wilson is African-American,
but "Echoes" is well worth a look in any case.
