I've found that good reeds come from good cane, and that only two to four
reeds in a box of ten (on the average) are good enough for performance,
and only after they're broken in. A bad sound from the reeds may mean
that you are using an unusual reed-mpc. combination (i.e. strength of
reed vs. tip opening).
