Not too badly, I guess. Supposedly it's THE thing for middle-eastern and
Balkan music, which is what my band specializes in. But my B-flat
full-Boehm metal French Selmer plays so much better than the Turkish G I
played I decided to hold out for a better G instrument. Of course, I'm
spoiled: I got the Selmer $100 as is, and restored it myself (final
adjustment by a professional) and with a new Vandoren mouthpiece it's
really quite good. So after a bargain like that, I don't feel like
spending $400+ for a so-so horn, no matter what the pitch!

Of course, Ivo Papasov plays a full-Boehm (Selmer?) B-flat, so perhaps I
have nothing to be ashamed of!
