Michael:

In response to your question about a high A fingering on the clarinet
(A'''), my best sure-fire fingering is to play a high E with the pinky on
the C# key rather than the Eb key (L.H. 2-3, L or R pinky on low F#/mid
C# key), I find this to be a very stable fingering and that most all of
my students can get the note to respond on the first try. You might also
want to try adding the index finger of your R.H. (similar to a high D) to
produce a very easy Ab.

Hope this helps!
