Dear Friends,

I currently have in my shop a very interesring and complicated
repair project. George Chittendon who is a very fine performer in this
area of Greek and Slavic music brought me his favorite instrument to
overhaul. This is an old G clarinet hand made in Czechoslovakia. George
has no idea if the barrel that came with it is the original or not. He
has some major intonation problems with this instrument and I suspect
that he may not have the correct barrel joint. Anyone out there have
access to a G clarinet? Please send specs on the barrel. Also, I wonder
if perhaps a slightly larger bored mouthpiece would be more appropriate.
