The orchestra I'm in is preparing Prokofiev's Classical Symphony. Although the
part is for A Clarinet all the way through, there is a solo in the trio section
of the 4th movement which is a lot easier if played on Bb. It is also written
in Bb in the Bonade excerpt book. The only problem is, Sergei only gave me
about six measures to switch - I realize that pit musicians have it far worse -
but it goes fast in 2/2 Molto vivace time. We perform on February 3rd, so
any prompt suggestions would be very appreciated.
