Absolutely...

Not only might the final assembly person have had a bad day, but more
likely the instrument will change after the wedges are pulled out and
the pads begin to swell a little. Usually they will hit in the back
first and leak slightly in the front.

Rare is the instrument that can't be improved by a _good_ tech.
