Klarinet Archive - Posting 000370.txt from 1995/01

In every really good discussion, someone always pops in and says, "What
you say is rubbish. But I don't have time now to deal with your
imbecilic, puerile remarks. I'll be back in a few days. And then I'll
eat your lunch!"
And that is the last that is ever heard from that person on that subject.
Over and over again.
I am NOT going to put on the hat of reminding people that they have now
had enough time to come back and eat the lunch of the person whose lunch
they said they would eat, but it has become a catch phrase that alerts
me to the fact that the party saying it is never going to come back.
Come on, people!! Either attack, come back later and attack when you
have indicated you would, say you have no intention of attacking, or
sit in silence.
This is all in reference to the recent postings on English clarinetists for
which I have been waiting for a week for several of the attackers to
gather their forces. Are the forces at rest for this long?
