Susan Lampley Browning writes that she has several discs of Thea King
playing. I do too; and I would confirm that her playing's entirely
satisfactory as far as I'm concerned (as I didn't say when I responded
earlier in this thread).

In particular, her recent discs (since she stopped being quite such an
active musician, so as to give herself time to look after her ailing
mother -- in particular, she no longer teaches at Benselow), seem to
me to have contained some real gems.

I don't have a recording of Nielsen by her, so I won't comment. The
only recording of hers that I've ever been remotely disappointed by
was of the Brahms Sonatas, on vinyl. I bought it following red-hot
glowing reviews, and while the record was undoubtedly better than my
then most recent previous one (de Peyer), it didn't quite come up to
what the reviews were suggesting...
