Only this list's owner can tell you what its house rules are. In
general, on a distirbution list maintained within the academic domain
(the "edu" part of the list's address) it would be entirely
permissible for you to post about instruments that you either have
for sale or would like to purchase. Don't include prices in the open
posting. Leave all such discussion to private e-mail correspondence
between yourself and whoever's interest your initial message
attracts.
