In a music dictionary (_Harvard_Concise_Dictionary_of_Music_, I
think) I read a short article on Franz Krommer. In it the author listed
several versions of the man's name. The surmane could be given as "Krommer"
or "Kramar," and the first name could be listed as either "Franz" or
"Frantisek" (with a klicka [arrow pointing down] over the "s"). In your
library search, you may want to try these different language (German and
Czech?) forms of his name.
