Mahler uses at least six different expressions to indicate that he wants
the clarinet players to play with bells up. These include but are not
limited to:

mit aufgehobenem Schalltrichter
Schallbecher in die Hohe
Schalltrichter auf

Whatever gramattical differences exist between these statements, they all
mean the same thing: bells up.
