Tell me a little more and I'll tell you exactly what to do. Musica Rara
published 3 Krommer octets about 15 years ago. Was this one of them?
When you report the octet as being out of print, is this a recent event
(based on a contemporary printing) or one of the original printings of
the middle of the 19th century. I know someone who has every single
one of the originals, but I need to know exactly which one you are
looking for and the opus number does not help. Describe the first few
notes of the tune of the first movement such as "Tonic, dominant, tonic
chords played in forte by everyone in half notes. This is followed by
the first clarinet playing 3 quarter note g-s beginning on beat 2."
(This is an exact description of one of the Krommer octets I have.
