I don't think Italian instruments are any different than the French ones.
At the time Bartolozzi wrote his book multiphonics were really an unknown
technique to all except a few. It appears that little regard was given
to the possibility that what worked for Bartolozzi's colleagues might not
work for others; and that is in fact the case!
