I've been a relatively inactive reader of this list, but I have one little
question for anyone out there.

Several years ago, at a District Band festival, we played a piece,
"Prelude and Dance" by James Richens for Clarinet Solo with Concert Band.
Our soloist was Mr. J. Colangelo of Millersville University. I really
enjoyed playing th piece, and convinced my teacher to lend me the solo in
hopes of playing it with our college wind ensemble. Along with the solo
came a recording by the Michigan State U. with J. Skipper, soloist.
Now for the question. :) Has anyone heard of this piece, and are
there any suggestions for playing the more difficult 'dance' sections?
This piece is really testing my skill, and I love the melodies. I was just
looking for suggestions. Thank you!
