Remember that reeds along with mouthpieces are a very personal thing. What
works for one may not work for another. I've tried many different mouthpiece
and reed combinations over the years. What it finally comes down to is does
the mouthpiece and reed combination feel right for you. Does it play in tune
(for the most part-- some mouthpieces don't fit some clarinets). Does it
respond throughout the range of the instrument and is it flexible enough to
produce the sound you want to hear. Also the sound you produce is one which
you conceive in your head.
