You are absolutely correct in your assessment of both players. But you give
Stoltzman too much credit for his jazz playing. It's no where near Eddie
Daniels or for that matter Buddy DeFranco or Bill Smith. Try listening to
some Sabine Meyer recordings. They are absolutely delightful although she
doesn't have the tone flexibility of Shifrin she does play excellent musical
phrases.
