Will someone in Sydney call T. G. Stirzaker for me [(02)987-4336] in Hornsby
and thank him for me for the music that he was kind enough to send to me.
And for you Australian clarinets players, what he sent was an arrangement
he made of the Masonic Funeral Music of Mozart. The arrangement is for
pairs of oboes, clarinets, basset horns, French horns, bassoons and a
contrabass. It makes a perfect encore after a performance of the
Gran Partitta because it is 11 of the same 13 players.

For the non-Australians on this list, T. G. Stirzaker is the principal
clarinet with the Australian Opera and Ballet companies and he works out
of the famous Sydney Opera House unless it has finally taken flight.
A really wonderful player!!
