NEW BOOK
for improving your reading skills.

I have just completed a book of 139 contrapuntal duets which are designed to
improve rhythmic reading and ensemble skills. It comes with a sequencing
program which makes the computer your duet partner--at any tempo, and in a
variety of keys, C, Bb, F and Eb. Of course it works in the key for
KEYBOARD, recorder, guitar, flute, oboe, harp, etc.

The 139 duets are usable for treble clef orchestral instruments, or guitar,
recorder, or keyboards. The sequencing program is as easy to operate as a
cassette player. Either voice can be easily muted. It can be used to
improve your technical, rhythmic and sight-reading skills, to improve
ensemble awareness by learning to concentrate on the other (contrapuntal)
voice or-when playing back at a very slow tempo-as an intonation trainer.

The Nat'l Assoc. of Wind and Percussion Players did a review in their
Journal, written by clarinet teacher Richard Webster of the Univ. of Toledo.
..."such a teaching tool is long overdue in the applied music field. It is
well thought out, well structured, and ingeniously varied. It's fun, and it
does the job. Highly recommended."

If you would like further information, contact me through e-mail, and I'll
see that you get further information on the book/program. G. Long
